Currently we are looking for a Data Steward within our Data, Analytics and Reporting Team for our Marketing and Sales (MS) department. In this role you are responsible for the data management capabilities in our department, and you ensure adoption of data management practices across our organization. Hence, you will play a crucial role in realizing our data and analytics ambitions. At Enza we are passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive our business forward. As a Data Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the implementation of data governance elements to propel our business unit's strategy forward. Your dedication to maintaining data quality and aligning with business rules will be instrumental in our success on a global scale.

You will be the core person for data management for the MS domain. You oversee data quality across our data landscape and actively improve where necessary through flagging of issues, initiating investigations and taking corrective actions. All your stakeholders are eager to meet you and can't wait to make their business more successful with your well managed data.

This Data, Analytics & Reporting team helps to take Marketing and Sales to the next level of becoming data driven! We do this by coaching teams on how to manage and use data. Every team within Marketing and Sales has data challenges that can be solved by collaborating. We have a global data governance lead that you will work closely with to align policies and standards. Your other stakeholders are our architects, data engineers and other data stewards in different domains.

Responsibilities:

  • Take accountability for data quality by analysing, monitoring, defining, and maintaining master data quality aligned with business rules for assigned data tables and elements.

  • Assist Data Producers, Data Owners, Data Specialists, and Data Engineers in attribute definitions, resolving data issues, or other change requests.

  • Document and communicate changes and issues for specific domains data to these roles.

  • Act as the voice of authority over changes to the assigned master data, monitoring the change process from beginning to end, and ensuring proper workflow management.

  • Ensure delivery of projects and changes in line with future state data architectures, as requested by the architecture team.

  • Maintain the lexicon, data dictionary, and (conceptual and logical) data models for domain data, Meta Data definitions, reference data, and other data types for assigned entities (including data attributes and processes).

  • Distribute policies (including RBAC) per domain of data to the Data Producers, Data Owners, and Data Specialists to improve data maintenance and increase usage and risk awareness.

  • Ensure proper input to Master Data Management and Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures.

You would like to become the expert in interpersonal communication with the ability to educate, inform, persuade, and achieve understanding and agreement on data management across different functions, levels, and customers. You foster a culture of data savviness in the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience in large business and IT projects

  • At least 3 years of experience in data management or business analysis in a data domain

  • Proven experience and ability to work with senior management, business, and IT stakeholders

  • Basic understanding of data modelling

  • Experienced with Excel

  • Knowledge and/or experience with SQL would be a plus.
